Incision is a technique suitable for leaving a trace either superficial or deep. This technique is based on the processing of a matrix. The matrix can be engraved in relief (xylography or woodcut, incision on linoleum) or in hollow (on metal bars, cooper, zinc and steel) depending on where the ink has to go: in the parts that are in relief or in the hollowed ones; the incision in hollow can be made directly, by hand with different tools (burin, puntasecca, maniera nera or mezzatinta), or indirectly  on slabs prepared and subjected to etchings of diverse acid (acquaforte, acquatinta, vernice molle).The execution, the realization o fan engraving, requires a number of steps that have to be done, so a sort of  operative move is needed, a finalized transit, made by the artist that chooses the material, predispose sit and after starts working on it. Our Acquaforti are known for the presence of dry engraving  and in general they show an excellent modulation of the support
